I am not really surprised to read about a survey based on industry sources from hundreds of interview with restaurants, distributors, importers and wineries throughout the United States release their findings that Americans prefer cheap and fun wines.

In the United States, drinking a glass of wine or two at the end of the day can be common especially in a cold night. So, unless you are prepared to spend a fortune on wine, it just make sense that wine is just a normal beverage. Thus, their choice of cheap and fun wine is very possible.

However, in Asia, wine drinking is getting popular, but to have a glass everyday is still something not many people do. Most will open a bottle on occassions or with friends, so our drinking pattern are different.

What is Harvey Bristol Cream Sherry Wine

Harvey Bristol Cream Sherry is the original cream Sherry from the Jerez region of Spain. Harvey have produced the finest Sherry since 1796 and has grown to become the largest Sherry producer. Harveys is owned by the huge British firm Allied Lyons and produces a huge range of moderately priced sherries. Harvey Bristol Cream is a unique Sherry Wine that has very distinctive character as a result of the skiful blending of Jerez’s finest Sherry wines: delicate, dry Finos, nutty old Amontillados, fragrant Olorosos and rare, sweet Pedro Ximenez. Unchanged over 200 years, it is still the world favourite and best selling Sherry. These three blend of Sherry types are all created from the Palomino grape that are then sweeten with Pedro Ximénez wine.

This cream Sherry wine has a alcohol content of 20%-22%. It is best served at around 13 degree celcius or if you like it less sweet, you can serve it on the rocks. This should be served as an aperitif, as an after-dinner drink and it taste a bit rasins and roasted nuts, full in body and with a subtly spicy finish.

Another unique feature of this wine is its blue bottle. This was introduced in 1996 to mark Harveys 200th anniversary. The term "Bristol Blue" arose from the fact that Bristol was the point of supply for the coloring agent, Saxon cobalt oxide (smalt), which produced the wonderful, deep blue.
